How To Find a Job and Keep It

I know it has been really tough in this economy to find a job. Especially when you apply for a position where thousands have applied for. There are many easy ways to finding a job. At least some kind of income can do anyone good until you can find a better position somewhere else. Its like stairs to success. You start out with your resume,  practice on interviews, last but not least the job. To some it is extremely difficult to even get past that due to the not knowing what to put on the resume. How to write it. Here I will give you to the best of my knowledge how to build yourself from ground up.
Write a list of all your past jobs, all the tasks and responsibilities you had put a little note on the side to remind you what you liked most of that job. Make sure your list is from the most recent job to the oldest. That gives the interviewers the Idea of what do you have fresh that you can just jump into. Think of things you are doing on the side like volunteering, or even cleaning your house, things you know you're  good at. Hobbies, like for instance one of my hobbies is carpentry. This actually help me get started in home remodeling jobs and I'm a female lol.
Once you've got a list of jobs you have done duties, hobbies then its education. List even classes that you've taken like cake decorating or excel. Even if you didn't complete courses you can say you are seeking employment to pay you schooling fees. Education is a very big key ingredient in your resume. It shows the interviewer what you are all about. Where your mind state is. Look up a resume template here is a template you can use through GOOGLE Google Resume Template Just fill in what you would like in the jiborish spaces. Or Google resume templates. You can also get on Microsoft starter and click on new and look for templates. Just type in resume and you can download any template you like.
Take your time when writing your resume so that way it is perfect. If your not sure that is why it is awesome to use the web for any kind of information you need. If you don't know what to write look it up. Ask Google a question. That is how I learned lots of info.
Once your resume is complete get on craigslist and start searching for jobs. Think of all the jobs you liked previously or the jobs you would like to find yourself in and just search. Read all the details and request. Give the inquirer what they want. When making calls make sure to sound like a pro. Speak with clear English like you are a pro telemarketer, be honest don't tell unless you are asked. Once you have sent a message or 2 or have called now its time to sit back and wait.

Enjoy and Good Luck and remember be careful who you share your personal info with. Please make sure you go in person to apply for a job or that they have a legit website that you can apply to. If not make sure you speak to a human being and look up the company before you give them your personal info for an app.Good luck will be back soon for a detailed help in getting a kick butt interview. :)

Marathoners Volunteer!!!!

About 1300 Marathoners hit the volunteers list to pull up their sleeves and help. Thank you!!!
After they boarded the Staten Island Ferry they ran to the areas that were affected and heard Staten Islanders heart breaking stories. Many others runners stayed back to run at Central Park.  Coach Steven Mackel was one of those volunteers who recorded a video of the experience as a marathoner volunteering.

First things first I would like to say thank you to all those kind hearted people who have taken the time to donate for the relief of this treacherousness hurricane. As the nonprofit organizations come together and build a tremendous fellowship to help these hurting families as well as our troops and reserves HOAH! Thank you it places my heart at relief. THANK YOU FOR THOSE WHOM HAVE TAKEN THE TIME TO GO OUT THERE AND SHOW LOVE.
This video is an amazing clip that has brought me to tears. It shows how bad things really are in Staten Island. Marathoners have gotten down to the nitty gritty to help. Amazing please share this video. Thank You!!!!!

Hurricane Sandy (WHAT YOU SHOULD DO)

I dont know where to start....
Hurricane Sandy Has ripped through the most of the northeastern states and has left millions without homes, cars, businesses, and few without thier lives. These solid cities always seemed almost unsinkable have been hit with a category 5 hurricane that stretched out about 1000 miles wide.
I am not sitting behind my laptop wanting to talk about this hurricane and all the damage it has done. Nor I am here to give a story about certain people. Im not waisting my time to write about the distruction, or death tolls. I am writing this to give people the heart and or courage to go out there and help. If I had someone to stay home to take care of my kids I would give 12hrs a day. But all I can do is voice it out and tell those who can afford to take a couple of days, weeks or even months to go and help.
There are many people in temporary shelters in need of clothing. People with power out in need of a hot meal. People without transportation, they are completely blocked out of certain parts of the area.
The only thing that has bothered me is the fact that people that have not been affected by this hurricane have went about with their daily lives and only care for themselves.

GO OUT THERE AND HELP!
Here are some things you can do.
Start up a food drive in the unaffected areas and take them to areas where they can be of use.
Help home owners clean out their homes
Volunteer at shelters, soup kitchens, clothing drives
Just even walk around and hear peoples' stories personally be their shoulder to cry on not by the news itself.
If you are a musician or a singer go out there and sing for them!
Other things I can think of but Ill update as they come
Last but not least PRAY!

Beware Craigslist Users

I have recently experienced a lot of funny business in the computers category. I recently spoke with many people using craigslist that were experiencing problems with a small business selling computers that were very cheap and good memory. The only problem was if the felt you were a threat the would cut you off of their calling list. Basically if you called before for an item and had a problem or they for some reason thought you were a problem they would block your number from ever calling their company. They carry an alright business but it causes customers to be ify of their business. They have you sign an agreement that at anytime if they feel they will black you out, not like beat up black out. Please don't get any of my phrases wrong.
I write this in hopes that I can provide some helpful tips on when purchasing  items on craigslist you get your dollars worth and don't have to deal with non working objects later on.
Look up the item online, the specs, the retail price and also the reviews that others are giving this item.
When getting the item please, please, make sure this item is working, check for scratches, cracks, and even paused computers. Most items bought on craigslist unless from a licensed store don't have warranty, exchanges or money back.
When purchasing a computer that has been used by owner I'm not sure how to say this but your putting your money at risk unless you are computer savvy. If you aren't computer savvy do your research on viruses and things of that nature to make sure you're no purchasing a 'lemon item'. Lemon items are items that are bought but have dis functions that cause you to spend more money on fixing it with the same business where they charge you  or spend money on your own. If the item needs fixing do your research and find out how much will you have to spend on fixing the item plus purchasing it. If you feel it is still worth it then go right ahead. Who am I to stop you but put some kind of sense in your head on thinking before you buy.
If you are trying so sell something or even post something on craigslist I have noticed alot of trouble for those individuals that carry prepaid cell phones unable to post on craigslist. Not sure why they need you to verify phone numbers but people are still managing to figure it out.
Wish you all the best in your Craigslist transactions. And please don't receive money orders, checks they can be either a scam or they are just trying to burn you. Cash transactions only, make sure you make that clear before you start a gig with the client you will be working for.
Another thing, I have recently decided not to recieve anymore donations due to the fact I am not yet a certified not for profit organization yet. But when the time comes I will let everyone know.

Craigslist Ads NEED HELP!!!

People are crying out for help on craigslist. Many people are no longer heading to the welfare office or seeking help through organizations due to the lack of funds, the inability to provide the proper documents or not being able to qualify. These people slip through the cracks of helping hands, churches, non profit organizations. Many places do help but have limited resources to help. Sure some people do scam the system but what about those who just really need to pay bills, pay rent, buy food, pay schools back, or even car payments. Just alittle push would relieve them from whatever their financial burdens are.
Times are hard and helping those families or individuals could help all of us including the community you live in, in the long run. Why? because when a persons job hours are lowered or they loose their job they become backed up on bills. When that happens they become desperate. Their bills pile up food becomes limited, they start looking to sell their personal belongings. When they run out of belongings to sell they begin to think of things that may be illegal like stealing, robbing, or maybe even selling drugs. This is when it becomes a problem to the community.
Why Help those in need on craigslist? they are scammers and con artists! No some aren't and you don't need to give them the cash. I plan to become the Craigslist Helper. I plan to help those who request for help on craigslist. But for now i plan to do it in the Orlando area until i can have the proper resources to go further with it.
Why do I want to help? Because I was one of those people asking for help one time and was evicted from my home with all five of my children. I have hope and faith that there are kind hearted people out there that are willing to donate even 25cents. Everyday I go on craigslist and read about many people asking for help on craigslist. It hurts to see these individuals asking for help and being that I myself do not have enough money to help it bothers me.
This one woman, single pregnant mom posted a need help on craiglsist. At 7 months she was seeking for work to help support her 2 children. She stated how she was on the breaking point of  being homeless if she didn't find a job in time. All she wanted was a job. and a little bit of money to at least pay off some of her arrears. HELP!
If you are interested in helping me help others please feel free to to donate on the button bellow and leave your email or address so i can send you a letter showing you the stories of the people i will be helping.

Thank you and God Bless
The Craigslist Helper.
